Conservation of Africa Hall wins 2026 World Monuments Fund/Knoll Modernism Prize
The World Monuments Fund and Knoll have announced Australia-based Architectus as the recipient of the 2026 World Monuments Fund/Knoll Modernism Prize for the conservation of the United Nations’ Historic Africa Hall in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The award recognizes the firm’s decade-long restoration of the landmark modernist building, completed in 1961 and widely regarded as one of the most significant works of African modernism.
