World’s most beautiful restaurants of 2025 chosen by Prix Versailles

The Prix Versailles has unveiled its list of the world’s most beautiful restaurants for 2025. The list of 16 newly opened restaurants is “evidence of the dominant aesthetic and cultural dynamics around the world,” according to organizers.
“When we have a meal, we remember the taste of the dishes, the scent of a venue, the soundtrack of a meeting, and perhaps the recollection of an object,” said Jérôme Gouadain, Secretary General of the Prix Versailles as the list was published. “But who could really describe it all? What’s certain is that a lived experience is, first and foremost, a human, inner experience that is shared and unique.”
“In this arena, architecture has an eminently paradoxical, almost maternal, role to play, attracting guests into its warm embrace, enveloping them with its shapes and forms, and completely effacing itself to put the focus on the feast,” Gouadain added. “It’s impossible not to recognise the mission that is incumbent upon design here. Today, the Prix Versailles is shining a light on sixteen effective, coherent and distinctly initiatory approaches marked by that humility, each one existing to feed its guests’ bodies and souls.”
In December, three projects from the list will be given additional titles of a World Title – Prix Versailles, Interior or Exterior. In the meantime, June will see further lists published by Prix Versailles honoring campuses and airports, following on from the recently announced hotels and museums list.
Below, we have published the 16 projects comprising the World’s Most Beautiful Restaurants list 2025. You can compare the projects with those of previous years by following our ongoing coverage of the series here.
